Which phones will it charge?
The Powcell sleeve has been designed to charge the Apple iPhone/2G/3G,
Apple iPod Touch and the Blackberry Curve, and Storm.

Each Powcell sleeve has been designed to work in complete harmony with
the individual handset. With the sleeve in place none of the handset's
functionality is lost; the touch-screen, camera, microphone and speakers
all work perfectly. It even proiongs the life of the handset with its
unique "gentle" charge system and "breathe-easy" technology.
As each sleeve provides a custom-fit and is fully lined, there is no danger
that the external shell and camera lens can be scratched due to dust and
grit that can accumulate in budget, ill-fitting, cases.
Solar chargers are an external "plug-in" unit that charges the
phone or other device using a solar cell. As "solar" only chargers
depend on the sun there is the temptation for the user to place the unit
in direct sunlight, this can have serious consequences as high temperatures
will not only increase charging time but will also permanently damage
the battery - seriously reducing its lifespan. Unlike other "solar"
only battery chargers, the Powcell sleeve can charge your phone in standard
ambient light, inside your home or office and on the move in the car,
on a train, or plane - almost anywhere in fact. You need never miss that
important call again!
What phones will the Powcell Solar Charger work on? The sleeves are custom fit for the 2G and 3G iphone, the itouch, the BB curve and the BB Storm
Does the solar charger have to be in the sun to recharge? The solar charger also works in an ambient light environment such as your office or home.
Does the solar charger have an internal battery? Each solar charger has a 450 mA lithium polymer internal battery.
How long does it take to charge the internal battery? It takes appx 4 hours to fully charge the internal battery via the solar charger light panel. It takes appx 1 hour to fully charge via the mini USB port connected to a PC.
How much talk time does the internal battery provide? A fully charged internal battery provides appx 2 hours of talk time.
What is the mini USB port used for? The internal battery can be recharged using the mini USB port connected to a PC. We do not recommend using an AC adaptor since this may damage the internal electronics.
